The exhibition on Floor -1 of the Energy Discovery Centre focuses on the subtopics of classical physics: light and optics, and the emergence and propagation of sound.
The hands-on exhibits illustrate the qualities of light and sound, and they explain the patters that work in everyday life. You will also find out that playing with optical effects and sounds is fun!
The exhibition also gives answers to the questions of why and when a rainbow can be seen in the sky, what kind of light insects see and how we can use UV radiation.
The exhibition is closely related to the curricula of basic and upper secondary schools. The texts of all exhibits are in English, Estonian, Russian, and Finnish.
Keywords: sound; oscillation; wave; light; reflection, refraction and propagation of light; interaction of bodies; magnetic phenomena
